South African Utility Repeat Order: 3 Distribution Transformers Successfully Loaded and Shipped

Recently, our company successfully dispatched a repeat order for a regional Power Distribution Bureau in South Africa. Operating in an environment characterized by high summer temperatures and fluctuating grid loads, the client requires highly durable electrical equipment. The client had previously procured a batch of our transformers, which have maintained stable, fault-free operation under rigorous conditions over the past few years. This proven reliability directly resulted in the current repeat order.
Product Solutions
To meet the diverse distribution requirements of our client’s local grid, this project incorporates two of our core transformer models:
- Fully Sealed Oil-Immersed Transformers: Designed to handle hot climates, these units feature a fully sealed corrugated tank. This design maximizes heat dissipation and isolates the insulating oil from external moisture and oxygen. It effectively slows down oil aging and minimizes ongoing maintenance costs for the client.
- Single-Phase Pole-Mounted Transformers: Also widely utilized by our client, these compact units are designed for flexible pole installation. They serve as a highly efficient solution for extending power distribution deep into residential areas and upgrading end-user grid infrastructure.
Export Packaging and Container Loading
International ocean freight demands rigorous packaging and securing protocols for heavy power equipment. To guarantee safe arrival despite marine conditions and inland transport, our logistics team executed strict export standards:
- Following moisture-proof wrapping, all three-phase transformers were securely enclosed in heavy-duty, fumigation-free wooden crates compliant with international shipping standards.
- During container loading (as shown in the on-site photos), our team utilized high-strength ratchet straps to perform rigorous cross-lashing. This firmly anchors the wooden crates to the container floor, eliminating any risk of displacement during transit.
Project Status
The containers loaded with the transformers have departed our manufacturing facility for the Port of Shanghai and will soon set sail for South Africa. We will continue to track the shipment and provide the client with comprehensive technical support to ensure smooth installation and commissioning.
